You have made the decision to repaint. You’ve received estimates from a few local painting companies. You found a painter who is much cheaper than the others. “Paint is Paint” so that is great news, right? Not entirely. Saving money is great but it’s important to know what you’re paying for. Not all painting estimates include the same scope of work. For example, a cheaper painting quote may mean you’re getting only one spray coat of paint, and a minimum amount of preparation. These paint methods typically only last around three years. Done properly, your paint could last up to fifteen years! Repairs may not be included either so you may be facing “extra charges” on top of your quote.
Make sure you get what you think you’re paying for!
Experience and reputation matter. Choose the most qualified painting contractor you can afford and make sure you are comparing the scope of work – not just price.
